The number of new cases of COVID-19 continue to get smaller in Michigan. For Saturday, there were 1,013 new cases for a total of 883,202. The state recorded 86 deaths. Since March 2020, 18,939 Michiganders have lost their lives to COVID-19. In southwest Michigan, Berrien County has 11 new cases for 13,744 with 263 deaths. Cass County has 9 new cases for 4,746 with 71 deaths and Van Buren County has 8 new cases for a total of 6,567 with 113 deaths, up by 2.
