The Hartford Public Library is hosting a special program later this month focused on genealogy and the latest technology tools.

The library says the special guest speaker at the event will be Debby Stassek, a technology consultant and founder of the Internet Users Group at the Paw Paw District Library. Her presentation will cover a range of topics, including tools and websites for tracing ancestry, how artificial intelligence can assist with genealogy research, building family trees, and general technology updates for everyday users.

Attendees will also receive free printed materials to take home for future reference.

The event is sponsored by the Van Buren Regional Genealogical Society and is open to the public, free of charge, with no reservations required. The genealogical society says the program is part of ongoing efforts to connect the community with local history resources.

The presentation will be on Saturday, April 18th at 11 a.m. at the Hartford Public Library.
