There will be some big fun and plenty to eat and drink in downtown St. Joseph this weekend.

St. Joseph Today’s Daniele Crevier tells us the 2026 St. Joe Winter Beer Fest will be Saturday. Those who have tickets will have a wide variety of beverages to sample.

We’ve got 23 breweries joining us this year, and we’re taking over the parking lots right behind Jimmy John’s,” Crevier said. “And it’ll just be a fun day from 12 to 4 with some local and regional breweries featured. We’ve got four food trucks. We’ve got a DJ and some sponsor tents, and Infusco Coffee will be on site. So it’s just a fun way to celebrate the winter season.”

There are also a few new things happening as part of the Beer Fest.

The St. Joe Community Tap Room is actually sponsoring this year, and so they’re hosting a table, and they’re featuring four area breweries as well. So in addition to our individual breweries hosting their tent, St. Joe Community Tap is going to host a table featuring four. So they’re going to have one keg, so one style of beer each, and we’re just really excited.”

All 1,000 of the tickets have already been sold, but the Beer Fest isn’t the only thing happening downtown. Crevier says the downtown Chili Tour is this Friday from noon to 7:45 p.m.

We’ve got 23 stops this year, so it’s just $5 to participate. You get a map that doubles as your voting ballot. You can pick that up starting at 12 on Friday here at the Welcome Center or starting at 5 p .m. during the event at the market as well. So there’s two places to buy a map, and you can start your chili adventure.”

Downtown businesses will be serving up their own takes on the all-American dish, and Crevier says many of them have come up with some pretty clever and amusing names for their recipes. She also reminds everyone the fun will continue next weekend when the St. Joseph Ice Fest returns to the downtown, complete with live ice sculptors.
