Congressman Tim Walberg says 2024 was a busy year in Washington, despite the partisan gridlock on many issues.
In a year-end recap video, Walberg pointed to legislation he sponsored in 2024 that sought to build on his Cars Act from the prior year.
“Last year, the House passed my CARS Act to block the Biden EPA’s electric vehicle mandate,” Walberg said. “Yet this year, the Biden administration issued yet another rule amounting to another EV mandate through fuel efficiency standards. So this year, I introduced yet another bill to block another Biden EV mandate.”
Walberg expects with a change in administration, blocking new EV mandates will be easier. He says he also pushed a plan that simplified federal programs governing a broadband rollout nationwide in the past year.
Other accomplishments he touted include protections for underage internet users, bills to fight human trafficking, and a border security bill.
Looking to 2025, Walberg said he expects leadership in Washington to get the nation back on track.
