The Bridgman Open Air Market will reopen for the season this Sunday.

Market manager Roseanne Stachowiak tells us around 70 vendors will be on hand for opening day, selling everything from fresh produce to crafts.

Animal Aid will be their opening day and every other week after that,” Stachowiak said. “They have had a very large success with getting their kittens adopted out, and I believe this Sunday they will also have a puppy available.”

The Bridgman Open Air Market has been going strong for about five years now. It’s located in the parking lot behind United Federal Credit Union at Lake Street and Red Arrow Highway.

Stachowiak says Animal Aid of Southwest Michigan will be on hand this Sunday.

We’re going to have everything from macramé cat beds to handmade soap, candles, freeze-dried candy, candied fruit, baked goods.”

Stachowiak says they attract a few thousand people on days when a special event is going on, like Kids Day planned for July and Halloween in October.

The Bridgman Open Air Market will be open each Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through October. During the busiest summer months, it will run from 9 to 4.
