An 80-foot mural has been completed on the side of the Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity ReStore in South Haven.
The non-profit ReStore announced this month it was working with artist Jessica Johnson to spruce up the side of its building on 73rd Street.
Store manager Ryan Jenkins told us after opening about two years ago, the ReStore thought it was time to stand out a little more. They wanted people to drive by and know they’re there.
The ReStore sells new or gently used home furnishings, and the new mural depicts that with he phrase, “Everyone needs a place to call home.” It also features the store’s slogan, “Donate. Shop. Volunteer.”
It took about a week for Johnson and fellow artists Jenna Eakin and Taylor Herr to complete the art work. Everyone’s invited to head over to the store to check it out and browse inside.
