St. Joseph High School student Silas Lorenz has been named the winner of a $20,000 college scholarship from the Tiscornia Foundation.

Every year, the scholarship is given in honor of Lester Tiscornia, who was a long time resident and philanthropist in the Twin Cities. Silas is a National Merit commended scholar, four-year honor roll member and Ren Baldwin Technology Fest Grand Prize winner. He’s also an Eagle Scout and was a member of the cross country, track, swimming and sailing teams at the high school – captaining both the cross country and swimming teams.
