A 41-year-old Indiana man has been killed in a head-on crash on US-12 in Mottville Township. Michigan State Police say Eric Herald was driving an older Mercedes sedan eastbound on US-12 when he hit a semi driven by a man from Canada near Vistula Road. The semi driver was wearing a seat belt, but troopers say it is not known if Herald was buckled up. The crash happened around 9 p.m. Wednesday night. Troopers say they don’t yet know if Herald was using drugs or alcohol before the crash, which remains under investigation.
