We always try to focus on good things that make the world and our community a better place and that aligns perfectly with the mission of Girl Scout’s. And that is exactly the impact that Gold Award Girl Scout Abby Cichocki from St Joe has had with a special project she recently completed. Now just so you know how big of a deal this is, being a Gold Award Girl Scout is the highest achievement in Girl Scouts, and equivalent to the Boy Scout Eagle Award. To earn this, Abby worked to renovate a client room at the Emergency Women & Children’s shelter which is amazing in itself, but she’s not finished with just that! She also set up a system for more rooms to be redone in the future to increase comfort for clients. Abby learned to tap into the world-changing power for her local community from her time in the girl scouts, and has proven that that drive will continue with her through the rest of her life.
