A Cassopolis man is dead following a crash in Cass County Sunday. The Cass County Sheriff’s Department says deputies were called to the scene of the single vehicle crash around 4:40 p.m. at Calvin Hill Street and Turpin Road in Jefferson Township. They found 36-year-old William Jones had been southbound on Robinson Road when he failed to negotiate a curve at Calvin Hill Street and Turpin Road. His vehicle went off the road and hit an embankment. He was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene as a result of his injuries. Seatbelts were not worn. The crash remains under investigation.
