Berrien County Road Department project engineer Kevin Stack is leaving for a new position.
Stack has taken a job in St. Joseph County and addressed the Berrien County Board of Commissioners Thursday to thank it for its support for the road department over the years. During his time with the department, Stack helped design a variety of major projects.
“From road diets to non-motorized trails, to replacing and rehabbing critical bridge infrastructure, to our traffic signal modernization, and also our advancements in maintenance and engineering, our operations at the road department themselves, all of this is a true representation of the progress and innovation that benefits all the traveling public throughout the county,” Stack said.
Stack said all of that work wasn’t done in a vacuum, requiring the backing of commissioners. He added a lot of work goes on behind the scenes, assessing the county’s needs and planning projects to better meet the evolving demands of the road network.
Commissioners thanked Stack for all his work over the years.
