St. Joseph Public Schools Superintendent Jenny Fee could be leaving the community.
In a message to the district this week, Fee said she’s under consideration for the job of superintendent at Forest Hills Public Schools in Grand Rapids.
Fee came to St. Joe from Grand Rapids three years ago and writes that due to deaths in the family, she could better meet the needs of loved ones closer to home.
Fee is one of five candidates selected to interview for the superintendent job at Forest Hills. She will interview on March 5, and from there, the school board will narrow down the search.
Fee says if she’s not selected for the job, she will remain fully committed to St. Joseph and meet her family’s needs from a distance. She writes St. Joseph “truly is a great community with great schools for which I feel privileged to serve.” She pledges to keep St. Joseph Public Schools informed on the latest developments.
Also in the running for that same job in Grand Rapids is Watervliet Public Schools Superintendent Ric Seager.
