South Haven residents have the opportunity Thursday night to hear how their local candidates for mayor and city council stand on the issues.
The South Haven chapter of the American Association of University Women is sponsoring a candidate forum this evening.
AAUW president-elect Judy Pollack says it’s not supposed to be a debate, per-se, but really an opportunity to explore local questions.
“We do have a committee that talks with people in town and tries to find out what concerns were and things like that, and they do have a pretty good list of questions, but everybody attending has the opportunity to write down specific questions that they might be interested in having answered,” Pollack said.
Pollack says all candidates for city office have confirmed they will attend.
The event starts at 7pm at the South Haven High School in the Listiak Auditorium. The event is open to the public.
