Michigan State Police out of Niles are investigating the burglary of a barn in Bainbridge Township this week.

Troopers were called to the 9,600 block of North Branch Road Thursday morning on a report of a burglary in progress. A family member of the property owner drove up and called police after seeing a suspicious van.

The thieves fled from the scene and items including a snow blower and a 4-wheeler fell off a trailer their van was hauling.

After some investigation, troopers were able to find the van at an address on Riverside Road. Through a search, they found more items that had been stolen from the barn, along with some meth.

While the B&E suspects remain at-large, a 33-year-old Coloma man was arrested on an outstanding warrant. He was taken to the Berrien County Jail.

Michigan State Police ask anyone with information on the incident to contact them.
