The Michigan State University Board of Trustees has cleared the way for alcohol sales at Spartan Stadium and other sports venues. Sales are expected to start September 16th when MSU plays Washington. Vice President Vennie Gore says the university will apply to the Liquor Control Commission for a permanent license and for football games.

“Our team will be providing protocols to ensure that the service is done safely and efficiently, and we will start sales 60 minutes before the game, ending 10 minutes into the third quarter.”

The University of Michigan is expected to consider a similar proposal during its September 21st board meeting.
