Voters headed to the polls across southwest Michigan Tuesday. In Van Buren County, several ballot proposals were approved. They were in the city of Bangor, Bangor Township, Covert Township, and Keeler Township. All were approved, although Keeler Township’s operating millage proposal was a tie, 137 to 137. The rest of the township and city proposals were approved. Meanwhile, school proposals were approved for Bangor Public Schools and Bloomingdale Public Schools. Turnout in Van Buren County was low, at only about 13%.
