Hartford Public Schools will be closed Friday due to the death of a staff member. Superintendent Brad Geesaman says Ken Briley died over the weekend and his funeral will be Friday. Briley had been employed in Hartford’s transportation department since 2015. Geesaman says Briley was “a highly respected and much loved” staff member and asks parents to watch their kids closely in case they need extra guidance or support.
