Gas prices have shown several days of price drops bringing some signs of relief to drivers, with prices in the state Monday down 5¢ from a week ago to $5.17 per gallon. But Patrick DeHaan with GasBuddy says people should be prepared to continuing paying more for gas throughout the summer months.
“Some 15 states have average gas prices over the $5 a gallon mark, but the number of states over that $5 mark has been shrinking and will likely do so again this week,” says DeHaan.
President Biden says that a decision on a federal gasoline tax holiday could come by the end of the week.
