Some results are in from Tuesday’s primary elections Tuesday around Berrien County.
As of 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, the renewal of the Southwest Michigan Regional Airport millage was headed toward easy passage in four of the five municipalities where it appeared on the ballot. Only Benton Township had yet to report results. The millage does not need to pass in all five places for the airport to collect revenues from the communities where it did pass.
Elsewhere, the North Berrien Historical Society millage was approved.
Berrien Township approved a renewal of its fire millage.
A road millage renewal and increase was approved in Three Oaks Township, but a fire station millage was rejected.
Bertrand Charter Township renewed its ambulance millage.
Galien Township approved its road millage.
Hagar Township approved an operating millage increase to offset the Headlee rollback.
Pipestone Township approved its fire and road millages.
Sodus Township approved a millage request to join the Eau Claire District Library.
The parks and trails millage passed in St. Joseph Township.
The Coloma Community Schools operating millage renewal was headed toward passage.
