A 41-year-old man was arrested Monday after a multi-agency investigation led to the seizure of more than 31 firearms and various narcotics at a Berrien County residence, authorities said.

Detectives with the Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET) executed a search warrant June 1 in the 3000 block of Michael Road in Pipestone Township. The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives assisted in the operation.

During the search, authorities seized cocaine, more than 100 Diazepam pills, additional firearm components and more than 31 firearms, including a stolen firearm and numerous ghost guns.

The suspect, a Pipestone Township resident whose name was not released, was lodged at the Berrien County Jail. He faces multiple felony charges, including drug trafficking, felony firearm, receiving and concealing a stolen firearm, possession of metallic knuckles and maintaining a drug house. Authorities noted the man also had two outstanding bench warrants.

The investigation remains ongoing, according to police. SWET officials said partnering agencies remain committed to investigating and prosecuting narcotics trafficking and illegal firearm offenses in Southwest Michigan.

Authorities urge anyone with information about suspected drug activity to email MSP-PROTECT@michigan.gov or leave an anonymous tip at 269-982-8664.
