Market One, the economic development organization housed within Kinexus Group that focuses on Van Buren and Cass counties, is in need of a new leader.
Market One Director Zach Morris has left the organization after helping to built it up from its inception as Market Van Buren.
In a statement, Kinexus says “the Market One Board of Directors is in the process of identifying a new leader to guide Market One into its next chapter.” It adds, “During this period, the team at Market One remains fully committed to uninterrupted operations and continued service to their stakeholders and communities.”
During his time with Market One, Morris helped to grow its mission and reached economic development agreements with communities in the two counties it served. Speaking to the South Haven City Council last July, Morris said since 2016, Market One has helped create 1,284 jobs in Cass and Van Buren counties, representing a more than $2 billion capital investment. He added it’s also helped secure $34 million in grants.
There’s no word yet on the next move for Morris.
